After all these years, this truly magnificent unit is in need of some TLC and must be serviced. This unit contains quite a few electrolytic capacitors - more than your standard audiophile preamp. But not because it lacks good design, rather because the power supply is designed for very low noise and ripple on the HT voltage, and so many paralleled devices are utilized there.
